Switching
Jobber is a well-made product and a good place to start. The friction usually shows up at the same point — when the crew grows past a dozen and the questions you want to ask outgrow what it reports on.
Structural differences only. We have deliberately left prices off this table — the figures circulating for competitor pricing are inconsistent, and we are not going to quote a number we cannot source.
| Dimension | Jobber | ServiceFlow IQ |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | Tiered, with a per-additional-user charge | Priced per tier. Unlimited users at every tier |
| Job duration | Entered by hand per job | Sold hours per pricebook item, adjusted by the assigned technician's pace |
| Memberships | Recurring jobs, without membership accounting | Membership tiers with deferred revenue and renewal tracking |
| Dispatch | Calendar and map scheduling | Dispatch board, six views, live GPS, capacity forecasting, AI fit scoring |
| Reporting | A fixed report set | Sixteen built-in reports plus a custom builder with scheduled delivery |
| Sales | Quotes and requests | Canvassing with territories, routes and property data alongside estimates |

Because there is no per-user charge, there is no reason to stage who gets access. Add everyone on day one.
Smart Start generates one with sold hours from your trade, which is usually the piece that did not exist before and takes longest to hand-build.
Where Jobber is still the better answer: small crews who want the simplest possible tool, and anyone whose work is genuinely quote-and-go without a pricebook. If that is you, switching would add ceremony without adding much.
If it is not a fit we will say so on the call rather than after the migration.
